We originally found 'Heat' under a tree in the middle of a typical summer. He was looking rather bad off, with a hip number. We asked about him and was given his information. After a small debate, we brought Heat home with us. It took us nearly six months to get Heat back to trusting humans and getting him back in shape. Once he was, we were surprised to find that Heat was a natural jumper. Even better: he loved running and jumping. After a mild debate, we chose to train Heat for steeplechase, and he took to it like a child eating ice cream. Heat has been race-jumping even since.
